It is probably the toughest of the tropical clumping bamboos. Buddha Belly Bamboo is a highly ornamental plant.
The resemblance of the swollen stem sections to the bulging belly of Buddha depicted in paintings and sculptures gives rise to the name of this bamboo. With its clean, simple lines, bamboo lends a feeling of peacefulness and simple elegance.
Growing Conditions:
Light Preference: Full Sunlight is best Bamboo’s growth but it can also grow in partial sunlight.
Water: If the Buddha belly bamboo is in a container then water deeply once or twice a week and let the soil dry between waterings.
If the Buddha belly bamboo is in outdoor then water deeply once in a week.
Temperature: 22ºC
Soil: Buddha belly bamboo variegated develops in well-drained soil.
Fertilizer: Fed regularly with a high-nitrogen food or apply any organic fertilizer.
