Description
This plant is also known as royal poinciana, flamboyant tree or flame tree. It falls under the world’s most colourful trees. Every spring, the tree produces clusters of long-lasting, orange-red blooms with yellow, burgundy or white markings. In every bloom, it measures upto 5 inch across, display five spoon-shaped petals.
Gulmohar performs best in substantial, open spaces and full daylight. Plant the tree in a major scene where it has space to spread; the roots are sufficiently durable to lift black-top. Likewise, remember that the tree drops spent sprouts and seed cases that require raking.
