Description
Clerodendrum is a genus of flowering plants in the family Lamiaceae. Its common names include glorybower, bagflower, and bleeding-heart.
The vining varieties require a support structure as some can get 15 feet tall.
Most plants are grafted onto the common rootstock because of its superior hardiness.
Growing Conditions and Care
Every leaf has a growth bud, so removing old flower blossoms encourages the plant to make more flowers instead of using the energy to make seeds.
Light Preference: Full Sunlight is best to plant’s growth and blooming but it can also grow in partial sunlight.
Water: It needs average regular water and does not overwater. Do not let dry out between waterings.
Temperature: 10-13ºC
Soil: Well-drained soil.
Fertilizer: Apply any organic fertilizer.
